Feeding Champlain Valley is a regional food access initiative dedicated to increasing access to nourishing, culturally relevant, and locally sourced food throughout Vermont’s Champlain Valley. Formerly known as Feeding Chittenden, the organization has expanded its mission across Addison, Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle counties — prompting a name change in 2024 to better reflect the full scope of its work.
For over 50 years, the organization has addressed food insecurity through a compassionate, inclusive approach that prioritizes dignity, health, and equity. Through a wide range of services — including food shelves, mobile meal delivery, culinary job training, and partnerships with clinicians and educators — Feeding Champlain Valley connects communities with the resources they need to live healthier, more empowered lives.
Following the organization's rebrand from Feeding Chittenden to Feeding Champlain Valley, we partnered with the team to design and develop a new website that reflects their expanded mission and deep community roots. We began with a discovery session to understand the rebrand’s goals, the updated service footprint, and the best ways to communicate the organization's impact throughout the Champlain Valley region.
Built on WordPress, the new site tells the FCV story through thoughtfully crafted icons, community-focused photography, and clear calls to action that guide users to critical resources. The site highlights the wide range of services available — including food shelves, mobile meal programs, job training, and more — while making it easy for users to find help, get involved, or support the cause.
We also integrated a custom Google Map to display food access points across the region, giving site visitors a clear and accessible view of available services within their community. The design follows the brand standards and color palette established during the logo redesign we completed earlier in the rebranding process.
The site was built on a responsive, mobile-friendly framework and supported by a robust CMS, enabling the FCV team to keep content and program updates current. SEO best practices were implemented to increase discoverability for food access resources, and hosting on our blazing-fast servers ensures strong performance for users in need of quick information and support.
