The Flyin Ryan Hawks Foundation is a Vermont-based nonprofit inspired by the life and legacy of Ryan Hawks — a respected extreme skier who passed away in 2011 following an accident during a Freeskiing World Tour event. Founded by Ryan’s family, the organization was created to honor his spirit and extend the impact of the Core Values he lived by.
Through programs that challenge students, athletes, and adventurers to define and live by their own Core Values, the Foundation promotes self-reflection, intentional decision-making, and personal responsibility. Their mission is to inspire self-exploration, empower individuals to live authentically, and promote a culture of purpose-driven living — one person, one decision, and one day at a time.
The Flyin Ryan Hawks Foundation needed a website that could effectively communicate its mission, showcase its growing network of Adventure Scholars, and support a dynamic schedule of community events. We began with a discovery session to understand the organization’s goals, audience, and how to preserve the authenticity of Ryan’s legacy across the site.
We designed and developed a custom WordPress website that brings over key content from their previous site while elevating it through a refined UI/UX strategy. The result is a clean, intuitive experience that makes it easy for users to explore Core Values, learn about the Adventure Scholarship program, and stay engaged with the Foundation’s latest news and events.
A robust CMS was essential, giving the team full control to manage Adventure Scholar profiles, event listings, and blog content with ease. The responsive, mobile-friendly design ensures accessibility and usability across all devices, whether visitors are browsing from a desktop or checking the event calendar on the go.
We implemented a full SEO strategy, optimizing new and migrated content for search engines with improved metadata, alt tags, and internal linking structures — helping the Foundation reach more students, supporters, and community partners.
Hosted on one of our blazing-fast servers, the site delivers excellent speed, uptime, and performance. It’s a vibrant, flexible platform that supports the Foundation’s mission of inspiration, empowerment, and community engagement.
